Spang Engineered Solutions Acquires Magnetic Technology, Inc.

Spang Engineered Solutions (SES), a business unit of Spang and Company, has acquired Magnetic Technology, Inc., located in McKinney, Texas. The acquisition further increases the reach of SES, expanding their presence in unique defense and aerospace applications. Magnetic Technology has a long history of unparalleled magnetic component design and manufacturing high quality, high reliability magnetic components.
In addition to broadening access to new customers and applications, the Magnetic Technology acquisition adds a second ISO/AS9100 manufacturing facility to the SES group. A second AS9100 facility improves SES’ ability to respond to increasing customer demands and better react to market trends.

Spang Engineered Solutions (SES), a business unit of Spang and Company, has acquired Wirebenders, Inc., located in Phoenix, Arizona. The purchase increases the reach of SES expanding their presence in the aerospace and defense industries. Wirebenders’ long history of manufacturing high quality, high reliability magnetic components strengthen the ability of SES to serve existing and new customers.
In addition, the Wirebenders team brings unique expertise in the manufacture of magnetic devices and coaxial cable assemblies. Coaxial cable assemblies will be an additional product line that SES can expand by offering both US and overseas production to balance delivery time and competitive pricing. In addition to the manufacturing capabilities, SES will now offer ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 certified manufacturing.

Frost Magnetics Joins Spang Engineered Solutions
Frost Magnetics, located in Oakhurst, California, has become a part of Spang Engineered Solutions (SES), a business unit of Spang and Company. Longtime owners Mike and Anita Frost have joined the SES staff, ensuring continuity of the key elements that have built Frost Magnetics’ outstanding reputation in the Western United States region.
Frost Magnetics is widely recognized for technical mastery, rapid prototype turnaround, and rocksolid quality performance. Customers will continue to have the benefit of Mike Frost’s deep experience and problem-solving genius. Prototypes for new devices or improved ones will be delivered quickly, as before. Anita Frost will continue to provide personal and knowledgeable customer service for existing customers and new ones. The Frost quality philosophy will be unchanged, including seamless transition of UL certifications.
In joining the SES organization, Mike and Anita – and their customers – now have the benefit of greatly expanded resources, including design engineering and testing, manufacturing, customer service, logistics and back office support, and even low cost volume production where appropriate.
